There are two flavors I don't think I'll ever get tired of this recipe. Chocolate and peanut butter.
These frozen protein squares taste nostalgic, comforting, and somehow always manage to feel like a treat, even when they're made with simple, nourishing ingredients.
I make a batch of these frozen protein bars and keep them in the freezer all week.
They're rich, creamy, naturally sweetened with banana, packed with protein, and finished with a crisp layer of dark chocolate that cracks perfectly with every bite. It feels indulgent, but it's made with ingredients that leave me feeling energized.
One of the biggest shifts I've made in my wellness journey is making protein a priority because it genuinely helps me feel my best. Higher-protein meals and snacks have helped keep me satisfied longer, reduce mindless snacking, support my workouts, and make healthy eating feel effortless instead of restrictive.
This recipe comes together in just a few minutes and requires zero baking.

Recipe: Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bars
Ingredients
1 ripe banana
1–2 scoops vanilla protein powder (add until the mixture becomes very smooth and thick, similar to pancake batter)
Natural peanut butter
Dark chocolate, melted
Instructions
Mash the banana until completely smooth.
Mix in the vanilla protein powder a little at a time until the mixture becomes thick, creamy, and resembles pancake batter.
Line a tray or plate with parchment paper.
Spread the banana protein mixture into a thick, even rectangle.
Spread a generous layer of peanut butter over the top.
Pour the melted dark chocolate over the peanut butter and gently spread it into an even layer.
Place in the freezer until the chocolate has completely hardened.
Break into rustic pieces or slice into squares.
Store in the freezer and enjoy whenever you're craving something sweet.
Why I Love This Recipe
The combination of protein, healthy fats, and naturally sweet fruit creates a snack that's satisfying enough to quiet a sweet tooth while still supporting my nutrition goals.
I love keeping a container of these in the freezer because they're ready whenever I need a quick bite between meals, after a workout, or while editing recipes and filming content. Instead of relying on packaged protein bars with long ingredient lists, I know exactly what's going into every bite.
