Date Recovery & Energy Bites

I love these bites for many reasons! They're so delicious, packed with tons of energy, and protein! They're high in fat and protein so even though they are small, they help keep me full throughout the day!


I love to bake with dates, they are such a delicious fruit, and make for the most perfect natural sweetener. (But sadly, I have a horrible addiction to dates!) So I rarely buy them because I can literally eat the entire bag or container of them in a matter of minutes.


I'm so excited I bought them anyway and using them for my daily snack! Everyday I always have some type of protein snack that I eat throughout the day to keep me energized, sustained, and just to keep my protein at a high level.

For this recipe, you'll need:


Medjool dates

vanilla plant protein powder

cinnamon

flax seeds

peanut butter

Optional : CBD oil :)










Instructions:


1. In a small microwave safe bowl, add 3 pitted medjool dates. Microwave dates for about 10-15 seconds.

2. Mash up warm dates into a smooth consistency.

3. Add 1 serving vanilla protein, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tbsp peanut butter. Mix completely. Mixture will be a bit dry.

4. Add 1-2 flax eggs! (How to make flax eggs: ADD 1-2 tbsp flax seeds + 2 -3 tbsp water & let sit in refrigerator for 10-15 minutes)

5. Mix well and then add your CBD oil.

6. Roll mixture into bite sized balls.

7. Let sit in refrigerator and enjoy!
